Sgravello Races was born from a simple idea: create the kind of endurance events I would want to ride myself.

I’m Valerio Cecchini, and I founded Sgravello Races to build serious, honest, long-distance cycling challenges rooted in self-supported principles, real landscapes, and real effort. No shortcuts. No artificial spectacle. Just riders, roads, mountains, and the responsibility to manage everything on your own.

For me, ultra-cycling is not only about performance — it’s about resilience, decision-making, independence, and discovering territories in the most authentic way possible. That philosophy is the foundation of every project I design.

Through Sgravello Races, I aim to:

• Develop iconic ultra-distance events with strong geographical identity
• Attract committed international endurance athletes
• Showcase extraordinary regions through meaningful storytelling
• Build long-term platforms, not one-off events

Each race is conceived as something bigger than a start line and a finish line. It’s a strategic and cultural project — one that can position territories on the global endurance map while respecting the spirit of self-supported cycling.

Sgravello Races is still young, but the ambition is clear: create benchmark events that stand confidently alongside the most respected ultra-distance races in the world.
